Damp, but having fun
We've been meaning to go to a RedHawks game for most of the summer, so Thursday evening we got a few friends together and headed off to the game. Rain was in the forecast, but it had been a beatiful day and we were ready for some fun after a long week. However, minutes before the game was scheduled to start, the rain started. And it rained and rained and rained... But the true fans that we were, we wanted to stick it out and watch the game - or maybe it was just that we had paid $8.50 a piece for our tickets and wanted to get more for our money than being damp and cold. After a couple hours the crowd had thinned out considerably, but we were still hanging in there, though more than secretly hoping the game would be cancelled. And just as we were seriously getting ready to leave - the announcement finally came - the game was cancelled but we could exchange our tickets for one of the remaining regular season games!
We were wet and tired when we got home, but overall it was a fun evening. Besides, life just isn't any fun if you never have any adventures!
Thanks to Sadie, Josh, Jana and Dan for making our evening so much fun! (Pictured from left to right: Jana, Dan, Sadie, Korey) We'll see you again on Saturday! Hopefully this time we will actually get to see some baseball!
